Job Description/Duties:

Responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance for the development and fabrication of Uranium Based Fuels in support of Next Generation Nuclear Reactors, specifically TRISO Fuel.

      • Plans, develops, coordinates and executes projects associated with Quality Assurance Functions within the UPRR organization.
      • Reviews and/or assembles certification packages documenting product quality.
      • Performs contract compliance activities.
      • Responsible for developing Quality Plans for new product manufacturing lines.
      • Develops quality related procedures and processes.
      • Supports customer and BWXT supplier audits.
        Resolves audit findings.
      • Meets with customers regarding quality issues.
      • Assists in generation of cost estimates.
      • Participates in incident investigation teams.
      • Identifies quality trends in work area and develops/implements plan to correct trends.
      • Creating or establishing the Quality Assurance OPs and forms.
      • Reviews and dispositions Product Non-conformance reports.
      • Follows BWXT established change management and Safety Evaluation processes.
      • Performs Audit and Release activities when required.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

      • A minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required.
      • Experience working in NQA-1 quality programs.
      • Background/experience in statistics (for manufacturing environment) is desired.
      • Experience in establishing QA quality procedures , vendor qualifications and surveillance.
      • Experience supporting manufacturing operations.
      • Experience analyzing and solving complex problems.
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Demonstrated success working in a team environment.
      • Self-motivated.
        Shows initiative with minimal supervision.
      • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment, preferably in a Quality Assurance Role.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
