Regional Sales Manager


The Choice Inc. is currently engaged in a nationwide search for Regional Sales Managers for a leader in the design and manufacturing of simulators, supply of engineering studies and training to the energy, power, oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, heavy machinery and other markets. This is an established organization that has a new Vice President of Business Development who is building a team to take the organization to the next level.

This exciting opportunity will afford the incumbent the ability o build and develop relationships with both existing and new clients throughout their respective territories. Nation-wide opportunities have been divided into the Northeast, Southwest, and Midwest regions. Successful candidates will be able to work from home with the ability to travel 60-75% of their time within their territory.

Focus on achieving gross sales targets and product margin targets
Manage a portfolio of existing accounts and increase overall sales and gross margin contribution
Expand portfolio of accounts by adding new accounts (power and water utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, machinery, heavy industrials)
Call on existing and new customer job sites, utility, industrial, government and head offices within defined territory
Develop business by calling on EPC, Consulting Engineers, OEMs and VARs
Support other company verticals through cross selling initiatives
Develop and maintain relationships with all key customer contacts
Must have experience selling in a multi-state territory
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Salesforce application software
Will have experience working remotes and autonomously
Should be able to demonstrate a proven sales performance, high energy, and high motivation with a strong customer focus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional time management and organizational skills are a must
Analyze customer plans and trends and recommend strategic initiatives
Analyze customer needs and opportunities and strategically plan sales efforts
Interact with various departments across organization to ensure optimization of account sales
Provide market and competitive information and recommendations to stay in front of it
Ability to travel within your territory 65-75% of time
Utilize CRM to track calls, follow up and proposal results
Desired Skills and Experience
BS/BA in Sales, Industrial or Engineering disciplines, MBA a plus.
Must have 10-20 years of regional sales experience in a technical product and software driven environment
Must be able to present and sell to C-level executives, directors, engineers and managers

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
