Purpose
Provide day to day assistance to the organization on matters concerning test procedures, planning, scheduling, cleanliness, safety, preventative and predictive maintenance. Responsible for the quality of testing assuring product reliability. Provide product testing related technical support for Manufacturing, Contracts, Control and Design Engineering departments.
Qualifications
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 1 to 2 years experience (electrical preferred)
Knowledge of transformer testing preferred, related industry standards & procedures

Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the Quality, Routine, Type & Special test testing to ensure product reliability to medium and large power transformers, Class I and Class II Power ratings up to 200 MVA base rating Voltage ratings up to 230kV, 900kV BIL including:
Autotransformers, Mobile Substations with Switchgear, Skid Transformers. Power Transformers are governed by IEEE C57.1200 and C57.12.90.
Follow testing methodologies and practices to meet industry standards and satisfy customer requirements.
Actively involved in troubleshooting of failure during the final testing as well as in process testing.
Organize, plan with testing technicians on a daily basis to meet company objective. Attend necessary training with testing technicians and Test Engineers to ensure that they maintain the highest standard for testing the product.
Responsible for verification of test data in consultation with Quality, Engineering department and customers.
Able to set up and perform daily testing of transformers/mobile substations in high voltage laboratory.
Ability to learn and train, to interact on multi-department projects, excellent analytical skills and have the ability to learn software programs necessary for the position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
