Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant

The University of Lynchburg, a private regional university, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia is seeking a graduate assistant athletic communications staffer.
The graduate assistant reports to, is supervised by, and evaluated by the director of athletic communications.
The evaluation of work performance will be ongoing and will be carried out by the director.
It will include the specific duties and responsibilities of this position description plus employee attitude and general working behavior.
Job Type :
Part-time, ten-month position.
Not benefit eligible Start Date:
August 1, 2023 Job Purpose:
To assist the director of athletic communications in all aspects of covering a highly-successful, championship-level athletics program.
Specific Job Duties:
Website maintenance, stat inputting, writing press releases, and nominating awards for assigned sports.
Assistants will also help with broadcasting home events and travel to cover athletic teams on the road.
Applicants will gain direct experiences as a sports information director while also learning skills in digital media such as photography, video and video editing, podcasting, graphic design, and running social media accounts.
Applicants will also work with a student staff during home events for game operations such as scoreboard, public address, and other game day duties to help game days run smoothly.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Applicants must be eligible to be accepted into the graduate program at the University of Lynchburg.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
