BWXT is currently seeking a General Development Engineer for its Lynchburg, VA location!Job Description/Duties:
The General Development Unit is seeking a self-motivated engineer to help develop the products and manufacturing methods of the future.
The selected candidate will work with a team of open-minded engineers and technical personnel to:
Leverage advanced technologies such as robots, 3D printers, and advanced machining processes to improve and develop manufacturing processes.
Investigate new technologies and methods of manufacture for future application to production processes.
Work with the customer to investigate and acquire new technologies that expand the design envelope, or enable entirely new designs.
Define and manage the scope, costs, and schedule of development projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead collaborative efforts between the customer, suppliers, and other departments and divisions (BWXT Advanced Technologies, Lynchburg Technology Center, etc).
Propose new work to expand BWXT's manufacturing capabilities and margins.
Plan and manage ongoing development by preparing procedures, drawings, and routing documents.
Communicate the results of development workscopes by authoring detailed reports, documenting areas of success, concern, and opportunity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
A degree in Mechanical, Nuclear or Materials Engineering is preferred.
Internal candidates with a Physics Degree who are already on the Engineering Ladder are also eligible.
Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant engineering experience.
Lower tier or higher tier NOG-L manufacturing experience is preferred.
Process improvement or development experience is highly preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative design team.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.
S.
Department of Energy (DOE) 'Q' clearance.
Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
