Administrative Assistant I (Health and Wellness Operations Team)

The administrative assistant works independently and exercises good judgment and discretion, this position reports to the assistant director of operations.
The administrative assistant's responsibilities include, but is not limited to, corresponding to department email inquiries and messages, ordering and coordinating deliveries of office supplies, managing inventory, handling maintenance and replacement of operational equipment, optimizing processes, submitting maintenance, IT, and Access Control requests.
In coordination with the executive director and assistant director of operations, the administrative assistant assists with budgeting, event scheduling, and maintaining the department calendar of events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides administrative support to the department leadership team.
Maintains Departmental, Program, & Events Calendars.
Manages Health and Wellness & Live Health Liberty Inbox.
Supports Departmental Logistical Needs.
Assists with office inventory and ordering of supplies.
Answers calls and greets office guests.
Assists leadership team with other projects as requested.
Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's mission.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALSEducation and Experience High school diploma.
Office leadership or administrative assistance related work experience.
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications Previous Office experience.
Ability to muti-task.
Interact positively with others.
Ability to work well under stress/pressure.
Well-developed communication skills.
Excellent and detail-oriented communication, arithmetic, and organizational skills.
Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree.
Previous budgeting experience.
Advanced Excel experience.

WORKING CONDITIONSWork EnvironmentThe working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting.
It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate.
Working environment also includes facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Driving RequirementsUse of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position.
Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
