BWXT's Nuclear Operations Group - Lynchburg is currently seeking a Quality Technologist for its Lynchburg, VA location!Essential Functions/
Responsibilities:
Serves as liaison between engineers, inspectors and customers.
Troubleshoots inspection issues and develops paths forward.
Generates functional specifications for inspection programming support.
Assists automated inspection system programmers by generating the optimal inspection and analysis report.
Ensures compliance to contract specifications (contract, drawing, etc.
).
Completes Corrective Actions and addresses document changes to Procedures, OP's, QSP's, QWI's, etc.
Executes Inspection Form Design and Changes.
Uses Change Management tools and systems.
Submits Tooling requests and estimates.
Authors customer submittals to support component certifications.
Prioritizes and coordinates multiple activities.
Completes process monitoring as needed.
Interacts with QC Inspectors, peers, management, government auditors, and customers.
Interprets contract and drawing requirements to create and/or modify Operating Procedures, Guidelines, Inspection Forms and Programs.
Serves as the Subject Matter Expert in area of automated inspection techniques and authoring of functional specifications to yield the best outcome on inspections.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field plus four (4) years of related experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent plus eight (8) years of relevant experience is required.
Has analytical skills necessary to evaluate situations or modifications, including selecting and applying procedures, design criteria, and professional judgement.
Has general understanding of programming and systems supporting inspection.
Understands the application of literal compliance to procedures, contract requirements, and drawing requirements.
Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail and organization.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required.
Must also be able to work independently.
Ability to establish good working relationships with customers and employees.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
Must be a U.
S.
citizen with no dual citizenship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.
S.
Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
