Job Description:
The _ Nurse Manager, Cardiac Cath Lab _ maintains 24-hour accountability for the Unit.
In this role, the Unit Manager plans, organizes, schedules, monitors, and leads the work of individuals and groups to attain desired results.
This position selects and develops staff to promote a healthy work environment.
The Unit Manager facilitates Centra's strategic plan, maintains quality and safe patient care, promotes a service-oriented environment, and functions within budgetary guidelines.
The Unit Manager integrates the tenets of the Professional Practice Model in the operations of the Unit.
The Unit Managers practice reflects the American Nurses Associations (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, the ANA Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators, and the Nurse Practice Act of Virginia.
Requirements:
Required Education:
Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN).
If Masters Degree is in nursing, then Bachelors Degree may be in any field Required
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in nursing or related healthcare field Preferred
Experience:
Leadership experience Required Certifications and Licensures:
Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
Hold a current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card Preferred Certifications and Licensures:
Certification in specialty or nursing leadership_Effective April 1, 2024, candidates seeking employment in this role at Centra must possess a valid and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS Provider or AHA BLS Instructor) course completion card.
Proof of certification will be mandatory prior to commencing employment.
Both AHA and RQI cards are acceptable forms of certification.
